  • Rudder ?

On a 46 BC-12D when removing the rudder hinge pins has anybody had problems getting the lower pin out with out hitting the vertical rudder post where the rudder arms are welded to the vertical post?

Mine has one edge of the head ground off to clear it. Have you looked to see if it has an edge missing. Had to twist mine to line up.

I also had to grind the head of my pin. It's a tight fit for sure.

Thats exactly what I found doesn't seem right one side of the head was ground flat to get it out.
