The Hanford weather satellite for California shows what I take to be a massive standing lenticular clould walking it's way down the the Sierra Mountains. It is is about even with Fresno and appears to be about 50-75 miles wide. The leading edge is over the foothills and the cloud itself extends hundreds of miles into Nevada.
Wind just came up here on the West edge of the valley and is blowing like crazy.
Wish the T was flyable. Anyone under the leading edge of that is going UP I would bet. Probably way up.
Never seen anything like that in a satellite photo.
