Has anyone had any recent experience with small parts ordered from the factory? There are quite a few fairly inexpensive parts I need that are listed in quantity on the website. Are they pulling the same stunt with other parts as they have with the struts?

Or is it a waist of time 'cause no one answers?

    Thanks,

it is hard to order if no one answers however should some one answer have it sent COD or use a credit card

The phones will come back up real soon. ( maybe now) I have been making inquiries. I did get good reliable information that we now have caring people down there in Brownsville who may be setting up some solutions to the problems. I have talked with him, he called me, I sent information requested. The immediate attention is to ship the 40 sets of struts on order.
No more can be said from me till he (they) wish to announce the changes. I am off to my Flight Insrutor Refresher Class in CLE over the week-end , will not have much time to check e-mails. see u around.

        Re: Factory parts

I ordered some window frames over the summer and had quick delivery and good communication. However, I tried to order some fairleads and control column parts around this last labor day. After MANY calls, I finally got them around Thanksgiving, but I DID revieve them, and I was not charged until they were sent. But, this was still before the recent communication problems since Christmas...

I don't think many of us will hold our breath. I tried to order a fuel tank and was told they were in stock and ready to go. Weeks go by, tank never shows up. Last explanation we got was the material used to make the tanks was not certified and tanks couldn't be shipped.

uhhh... ok whatever. Ordered a tank from Wag-Aero and got it 3 days later.

Freightpilot-- unless you haven't been reading???? there is no action at this time at the "FACTORY" period, none, now?? according to Forrest there could be relief in the wind, but I won't believe it till I see, smell and hear it?? I wouldn't consider anything at this time with Harry, He has my money and I have nothing? and can't even call him, soooo, if you are considering just beware. Now if this new savior comes to pass, that will be wonderful!! And maybe all of us can get back into it, until then??

            be very careful

Does that imply that 40 people sent them $4000 each? Scary thought.

                Ya

40 struts to order, does that mean that the others that were previously ordered don't count, only new orders??

                Naw surely not

                but????

Have we seen wierd stuff before

Don't get me wrong, I totally hope this new deal can be the saving grace for
whatever Harry screwed up, but again, wait and watch, I sure wouldn't bet
                a penny on it yet

Just checking in , still have another day of Flight Instructor Refresher on Sunday, then will get on the phones Monday.
I think a problem has been that the parts may be in Brownsville but the paper work is not sufficient to ship them. Traceability, approved inspection , etc.. A lot of the "parts" are from a prior production run not recent.

I can certainly understand that. BUT!

if this is the case then they need not be taking orders if they KNOW they can't ship. Why the hell tell me they have fuel tanks on the shelf ready to ship and then after I never get the tank they tell me they can't ship because paperwork is not right?! It would be different if they called me to inform me, but I had to chase them down and only after multiple calls did I even get that answer.

110% BS crap. Who the hell runs a business this way?!

Gee we all agree on that! When they say it is here BUT no approval. Then it is so easy to blame the "FAA" . next week should show action , I HOPE!

                        All due respect Forrest,

I think that you or anyone else on any side of this... saying that there is a responsible party heading towards Brownsville to take action... is the same as that famous photograph of the British foreign attache' waving the piece of paper with Hitler's signature on a peace treaty when he landed in London from Berlin in 1938 or 39.

Too little, too late, and in hindsight it is quite humorous.

What's next from Brownsville, a newspaper headline "Ingram Defeats Truman"?

I agree with Forrest, maybe there's more to this new guy then meets the eye......at least it could be better then nothing if they can really put parts out the door and in the costumers hands. I agree NOT to send them any cash, but COD's cost you nothing if nothing arrives to pay for.

Bill, I know that you will always have respect, both ways too!
I have always liked Mr. Harvey Patrick and his nephew Steve Cooner and his family. Remember, Mr. Patrick is the one that put up a LOT of money to buy Taylorcraft way back when and then took it to Delaware. I too agree with all your thoughts; however, lets see, AGAIN,
I have no dog in the fight.
I do not send money anywhere without a guarantee of delivery. Lets give it a bit and see IF the factory can come up with a plan. IF not I want to start our own list of money owed to customers. not here not now.
I passed my FIRC class , like we could flunk! back to the Super Bowl.

                              New owners,or money backers.
Advice from a retired 38 year bussness man. have hired and fired many people in my years, hiring is more fun than firing and laying off, "But GET RID OF HARRY"..
If you want to save the bussness and move forward you must have a new look and image.
Take a look at Univair and Wag-areo, they both started late and already shipping struts, Wag-aero got their approval now and are making struts for $1800, a set.
I'm sure they are making some money's on the sets.
Take a long look at your prices.
I can't beleive 40 owner put out $3400 for these struts.
Jim, not shooting arrows at you, I feel for you, you jumped in early
and the factory could not deliver. At the begining they were the only game in town
I hope you get your money back because you have options now,
Plus your struts checked out good.
One last peice of advice, move the factory to FL.
                              .
