Re: Airframes LLC article of 1/20

Thanks Mike for the update on those parts and the new AMOC, I'm sure glad that someone is keeping us owner/operators informed.

    Sure isn't the FAA

UNIVAIR (Mike) seems to have very successfully hijacked this "Airframes"-titled thread. Good luck to Mike for doing so; in the apparent absence of other strut suppliers, I'm happy for this to continue.

              Mike,

Did not find the new AMOC in your SVC BULL & ADs, Taylorcraft, Click here for Univair Taylorcraft AMOC. Only the Sept 12, 2007 Amoc came up.

Glad you have got it through.

One thing on my Airframes struts- the rear ones are of different size so I will have to produce rear strut clamps. They provided new unformed clamps for the fronts. With these struts, if I lost the wings, I guess I could get it in at 150mph approach speed on the struts alone.

I am working with one of your future customers assembling mine. He has a 40 model BL. Mine is good practice for him!

Mike Sellers: I have your Univair lift struts for use on my 1939 BL-65. I,too, am trying to locate your posted AMOC with the FAA approved updated model applicability listing. Can you re-state the link to it on your web-site?

By the way: I ordered 2 sets (8 total struts) of Univair's lift struts at about $1850 each, including shipping in a very heavy duty tube. The sets arrived within a month of ordering, and they are exceptionally well made. Continuing Univair's reputation for high quality products. Once we get the AMOC extended to us "B" Model guys, we're all set. Thanks, Univiar, for supporting us quickly and economically. Bob Coolbaugh
