Re: Bubble face compass
Looks pretty cheap so far for one WITH the dome mount. The dents aren't even that bad. Whoever gets it DON'T BANG the dents out. SPOON them gently to not stretch the metal. Also make sure the screws are brass not steel. Contact me and I can give some hints on how to rebuild it (the glass is VERY easy to break if you assemble it wrong). I have done two so far but plan to send them both to have the faces re-done professionally.
Really easy to read compared to the little ones.

Re: Bubble face compass
That one makes me feel better. I bought my first one for $400 several years ago (just added it up, that was 10 years ago! WOW, time flys!). Sounds like the e-Bay one could be a pretty good investment.
Of my two, only one has a dome (the $400 one). Anyone have an extra dome laying around?

Re: Bubble face compass
I sold one I had a few years ago for around $350, wish I had it now! That one on ebay will probably run at the end, but with the mount and T-Craft logo, I would expect it to. I sell a lot on there, all airplane parts, and I'm amazed sometimes how much things sell for in the end. I sold a lifting eye for a Continental, listed it at $7.50, it sold for $51 this week.If you can read this, thank a teacher....
If you're reading it in english, thank the military
