  • Lift strut news from Airframes inc.

We have been negotiating for the past year with someone who wanted to buy the supercub portion of airframes inc. and a deal has been made. Unfortanately the T-craft lift struts will go with the deal. We will be able to fill any orders for lift struts that are taken by Jan 1st even if you don't need them for awhile. Just get your name on the list and tell us when you want them by. Ask about our holiday special, we think we have a way to make your New Year happy. And now for some more big news....... We have caught up with our orders and have some struts in stock! Since there are only a few days left you can call us at any time to order.

    Happy Holidays,

    Lee Budde

Don't think that questiion is going to be answered until after the deadline for ordering is past. Would have told us right off, otherwise. Just a gut guess biased by the whole strut AD thing.

From the SuperCub.org site it seems to be Northern Piper which just changed it's name to Northern Airframes. I understand they are on the same airport.

Dakota cub is buying them and they are going to be at birchwood airport, I hope they will be building T-craft struts, because they are mostly do cub stuff.

NEW BUSINESS HOPES TO MANUFACTURE ALASKA AIRCRAFT

                        by The Associated Press
                        Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2007

ANCHORAGE, Alaska -- A new company based in Anchorage is hoping to manufacture airplanes designed for use in Bush Alaska.

Northern Airframes LLC plans to manufacture a Federal Aviation Administration-certified aircraft it will call the Super 18.

Production of the airplane, based on design of the Piper Super Cub, is expected to begin later this year.

The company was created when Anchorage-based Northern Piper Aircraft purchased Airframes Inc. of Big Lake.

One of the companies refinished and rebuilt airplanes and the other has 10 years' experience manufacturing aftermarket parts for the Piper PA-18 Super Cub.

Richard Roberts, the general manager and co-owner of the new company, says combining them for the new venture was a "no-brainer."
The combined business will be at the Birchwood Airport in Chugiak.

Unfortunately, their web site says nothing about struts. And I imagine that if their manufacturing of airplanes will happen later this year, the TC struts are going to be a very last thing they will offer.

Uh Oh, Not Good!!!!! Well, Univair, And Wag Aero And I Don't Know What The Status Of Wag-aero Is At This Point.

Its Just Too Bad About The T/c Factory, They Are Still In A Position To Sell Parts If They Would Just Come Clean And Do It.

I Don't Think That Will Happen

Bad Deal All The Way Arround, Mostly For Us T-carters

The good news is that UNIVAIR has them and at a good price.
