Well, don't want to add to the confusion regarding what has certainly become the crisis of the century (so far) for T-crafts.
Our struts passed the inspection (ultrasound). The AD and service bulletin do a fairly good job of denoting what has to be accomplished. I am a bit puzzled as to how to document the AD compliance. It states the requirements for the NDT shop and gets into equipment and procedures but I have not found any specifics regarding the documentation procedure.
What I plan to write in the log is something like this:
Removed wing lift struts, cleaned and had inspected. The level II inspector found no evidence of significant corrosion during the ultrasound inspection. Struts were sanded and media blasted as necessary to remove any traces of external rust, primed and painted. Struts were treated internally with corrosion inhibitor and reinstalled in their original location on the aircraft using new hardware. Aircraft has now complied with Airworthiness Directive 2007-16-14 by completing part 2 of the Taylorcraft service bulletin 2007-001 rev B as referenced in the AD.
Date of inspection: December X, 2007. Date next inpection due: December X, 2011.

The strut attach point service bulletin I will do a separate entry for. Does anyone feel this logbook entry is in need of work or additional data?
