It's to late now for the cheap factory struts

For all you guys that have not ordered you factory struts, tomorrow they are going up $1000 to $4500.
This is so sad I could cry.
I'm hoping Univair,Airframe, or Wag-Aero will start making Landing gears, cowling's etc.
We need parts which are available and affordable.

If an article of space junk were to re-enter the atmosphere and strike a certain individual in a certain part of Texas tomorrow I would quite possibly buy myself a very expensive bottle of wine, pop the cork, and enjoy a nice buzz.

I didn't know the factory struts were ever cheap? Why would ANYONE buy struts from the factory, when both of the other sources are SUBSTANTIALLY less expensive? I'm baffled.

And the PMA sources aren't having PUBLICISED quality control and delivery problems either.
To top it off, it's the FACTORY who is making all their problems public by not telling their customers the truth on deliveries! We can handle delayed deliveries, but DON'T LIE to us!!!! We WANTED the factory to succeed (most of us) but I doubt there are many left now that care if they fall off the face of the Earth.
Now Taylorcraft thinks it makes sense to compete with PMA suppliers who are under-pricing them by raising their own prices even more. That seems to fit in with their whole business plan (as we are seeing it). Maybe they can make up for low sales with high prices.
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING down there? They have managed to PO their entire customer base!

If it didn't hed' probably claim it was off a Taylorcraft and lobby for another AD to try and keep his head up.

Yes! I originally ordered struts from the factory when the initial inspection of the drain holes showed some rust. I was expecting to get my T-Craft back in the air in October, and early on there was no alternate source for the pre-war birds. When they missed delayed delivery estimates too many times, and Airframes got their approval, I canceled and switched.

The factory is apparently trying to recoup the labor & material costs of their mistakes. That can only work if there is no competition.
