    Re: weight and balance

I've added the spreadsheet to the Foundation Resources page. There are two sheets: one to enter data into, and one with sample data shown.

      Re: weight and balance

From the "B" book , this was the field book that shows the Ser#, model #, engine, prop, weight, and date ship came out for test flight.
Yes there was a later time when they only weighed each 10th airplane,
      taht was middle of 1946.
So we see that by ser# , model , weight, date, :

      #1768 BLT ( light trainer version) 646 # 4-19-40
      1769 BL (standard w/ Lyc engine) 673 # 4-22-40

      1774 BC (standard w Cont. engine) 690# 4-24-40

      1789 BLT 645 5-10-40

      2578 BL12 ( Lyc w 1200 gross) 734 2-18-41
      2579 BC12 ( Cont 1200 Gross) 754 2-16-41
      2583 BF12 ( Franklin 1200 gross) 750 3-10-41

      3344 BLT 685 12-18-41
      3358 BF12 755 1-31-42

some ships had a lot of radio at the factory, I recall a BF12 Deluxe we owned that had full panel , big Lear Comm, two ADF's, both wing tanks, pants, metal prop etc. & was almost a single place aircraft.
hope his helps a bit. Measure the arms always.
I will pull the ATC 696 & 1A9 soon and issue an explanation, perhaps in the newsletter for all to view. I have an adjustable tail stand that I use under the forward bolt of the tail srpings OR a cup that the tail wheel fits into for weighing.
