Re: Skis
AC43-13 (chapter 5) has everything you need to know about rigging.
The length of the cables is installation-specific. I like them rigged as flat as permissible.
I highly recommend the Atlee springs in place of bungees. http://www.fadodge.com/
Approved skis are on the type certificate (http://www.taylorcraft.org/resources...C_337_STC_data), have their own STC, or can be field approved (generally a very easy process).
Bushings are required. I can't help with that.
Keep out of the overflow.

Re: Skis
Federal has an installation drawing for a1500's on a t-craft.
AC43.13 applies when it does not contradict the manufacturer's data (read the cover letter on the first few pages of ac43.13).
Only way to know if it does not contradict is to have the manufacturer's data.
If you can't find it elsewhere I have the drawing.
