  • Dzus Fastners

Anyone have the p/n of DZUS Fastners common to a BC12D lower cowling? I just want to avoid ordering the wrong size. . . .

Flying is easy- to go up you pull back, to go down you pull back a little farther.

AJ5-40 is the most common, although on some I used -45 as well.

        Eric:

I used S5-225SS and S5A-200SS (the 200 and 225 denote the "height" of the spring).

Occasionally, I had to tweak the height to get a satisfactory connection between the fastener & spring.

I also used GA5-312 and GA5-350 aluminium grommets - see the Aircraft Spruce catalogue to determine which is needed for which panel thickness.

Some details of Dzus work on my site here.
