  • Parts from factory good service

I wanted to let the group know that on or about August 10, 07, I placed an order on the new Taylorcraft factory website for a roll of T-Craft rib stitch wire. Their inventory showed 2 rolls available with each roll sufficient for one plane.
They did not have their credit card system running so I mailed a check immmediately. Today I received the wire via UPS which was shipped on the 15th, so they shipped immediately after receiving my check which takes 3 to 4 days via snail mail to reach Brownsville from here in IN.
I am happy to say the wire is the correct Taylorcraft wire with correct spacing and correct bend with a deeper notch than the sample of Martin wire that I have. The roll has a brown look as opposed to the shiny Martin wire, but when I tested it with a magnet, it was not magnetic, so must be some stainless alloy.
I am very pleased with the service received.

I have bought lots of parts from the factory, they were slow in coming for a few of them but they were exactly what I wanted. Tim

When we picked up the F19 from the factory we overlooked and missed some of the small hard to find parts. I talked to Harry Ingram this morning and he has the parts and is shipping them today. He is also has put together a hydraulic brake conversion kit that is approved as a factory approved package and will be sending that also.

Recieved a package from the Taylorcraft factory yesterday. Mr. Ingram had sent new parts for the parts that we overlooked with an invoice-No Charge. He is waiting on material to make one bracket for the brake package-

I will say the same about the service too.
called me back within a few minutes when the parts guy was busy, got it here promptly and sent me to the right place for the parts they did not have.

I have been dealing with the factory for the past 18 months on a regular basis. They have been extremely helpful in helping me get two F22s reassembled from a pile of parts. Were it not for their help we would not be flying those planes today. That is why I have ordered 2 sets of their strut packages, SK100, for those planes. Sure, I could have ordered cheeper struts, but some of those struts would have been smaller diameter and not of 4130. Those of you living in the past ought to get over it and help us keep the factory producing the parts we need to keep our planes in the air for the next 66 years.

                    Bill,
I just LOVE flying into a small airport wirth a resturant on a weekend, and after having my b'fast, walk out to the plane KNOWING that EVERY eye is on me seeing what's going to happen next.
I remove the wing tiedowns, leave the tail chain on, prop it two blades, turn the mags on, flip the prop, and "Manu Sina", ever the showgirl fires right up.
I then lean into the cockpit, pull the throttle back to 450 rpm, place the rope attached to my chocks over the lower edge of my door, remove the tail chain, walk back to the door, and (somtimes, depending on how many mouths are hanging open in the windows), give my best 1930s barnstormer salute, hop into the plane, remove the chocks, and fly off.
I LIVE in the past. I truly wish I could have raced Pancho Barnes one against one, across the country. Brie

I sure hope they continue like they have for me- I ordered some pulleys and they were here within a week. My only complaint is that parts are expensive- at least we have some! If they would make me a new set of gear legs I'd order those.

Flying is easy- to go up you pull back, to go down you pull back a little farther.

We just bought and installed a wag-aero exhaust approx 7 weeks ago. (for BC65) Everything went fine. Received the shipment within 5 days. What problem are you having with them?
