  • Speaking of Eisemann coils

Anyone know where I can find one of the AD ok coils or two? There are a couple of old spare matching mags in the hangar, have to check what is in them.

    You might try contacting:

    ARN Air
    P.O. Box 148. 405 Main St. Bayard, Iowa 50029

Their phone number may be listed in their ad in Trade-a-plane.
I had them overhaul my Eisemann mags.

Thanks Dick, I REALLY appreciate the help on this. Is the internet and this site marvelous or what?

I have quite a few Eismann coils. I think they are all the good ones. Let me know.

Thanks Mike, It may be a while as I have to loosen the engine from the mounts to get the mags off. I just got finished with spending about three months doing the bodywork and painting my 74 Camaro so I am going to lay off of projects for a few days. Feels so good

Went out this AM about 75 to 80 F while flying. Stayed in the pattern for four landings. Fuel up and did a few more (no sense flipping the prop at the pump and not flying.)
Engine oil temp up to 170 to 175 F. Mags check perfect on 3 runups. Engine running like a turbine. Guess I'll get really good at TO and landings until I can change the coil.

PS: In the morning, of course.
