  • Engine Upgrade L-2 Series

Pardon my repeating this, but after posting a reply to another thread with this, I thought it deserved it's own thread. Two Forum members and enthusiastic Taylorcraft owners have worked very hard to get something done, for the benefit of L-2 owners.

There is a new approved STC allowing an engine upgrade on the L-2 series. Very effective performance improvement along with the luxury of a starter. Contact forum member "Barnstormer" for more information. We owe a great debt to Barnstormer for getting this approved, and to Forum member L-2 Gary for designing, engineering, and testing the upgrade.

    Bill..
You are 50% correct and hopefully I am only a few weeks away from making you 100% correct. We got L-2 Gary's one-time STC done and the FAA is waiting for some updated reports from me to expand this to a multiple STC. I am slow in getting this done as I have a lot of other irons in the fire this summer. I am getting close tho. When the multiple is finished, I should have the option to install an A75, C75, C85, C90 or O-200 in the L-2/DC series. Y'all keep pushing me to get this done... and I will get there. Too close to turn back now. Thanks for favorable comments.
