  • Aileron End Bulkhead?

If I'm reading the blueprint correctly, the attached is my Aileron End Bulkhead.
and it looks like I'll be making two.

This was held in place by three nails, into the end-grain of the spar; no glue.

Anyone had experience building these? anything to be aware of? Tricks? Was yours secured like mine? - MikeH

Try making the hole first for the tube, then use a band saw and cut out the basic shape and then the belt sander to clean it up. I thought there might be a groove cut for the spar, you can cut it with a router or a table saw and miter. Good luck Tim

      Mike,
I might have a good set that will clean up nicely. I will check tomorrow.

They do not have a groove for the spar. The hole looks like it is in the correct place judging by the picture you provided. A belt sander will come in handy for making this part. Winston

              Re: Aileron End Bulkhead?

My aileron is covered now on the B model so I can't look at it but I looked at the ailerons for the Model A and they do have the groove so the B probably does too.
