I know not many are traveling in and out of TO.
Some off you are traveling trought South western Ontario to Oshkoch later on
So here it is.
The Terminal Radar servise area is expanded to 65 natutical miles radius from the Toronto VOR and has a floor of 6500 ft. This is class E airspace so Transponder is mandatory. Excluded is American airspace falling within the 65 mile radius. You can go under it below 6500 FT.
If you want too pass over Hamilton harbor and over the bridge: This a high trafic area max alltitude is 3500 ft and call Hamilton Tower 125.0 for radar coverage and separation.
Radar separation in a 20 mile radius of Hamilton is recomeded as there is a lot of Jet trafic on approches.
Keep in mind what everywhere in the Niagara area and south western Ontario, you are on radar from Toronto, Hamilton, London or Buffalo.
Over 7000 ft there is a lot of turboprop and jet trafic to and from Pearson.
Lower altitued, approsh altitude closer to Hamilton.
Hamilton also have significant jet trafic during the night as a lot of freight goes to and from Hamilton.
The FSS in St Catharines Ontario can see you at 400 Ft above ground with a picture from anyone of the radar stations.
If you want to stay in Canada, customs are aveable in St Catharines, Brantford, Welland,Bramton, London to name a few. check this info for acuracy as changes to the presentation we where given may happen.
Effective July 1 2007.
Hamilton has Canadain War plane Heritage museum, and landing fees for aircrafts over? Check it before landing.
Welland/ Niagara Central has low cost Avgas. and NO landing fees this a light aircraft friendly airport with good FBO servise. See Welland Aerocenter's web site.
Branford has 91 octan Mogas + avgas and a good resturant open from 9 am to 2 pm.
