  • Sn# Location

Thought this might be interesting for some of you restoring pre-wars......

While media blasting this weekend, I found an interesting tidbit. I was blasting the swingout window hinge on the LH window and found #1093 stamped on the pc attached to the window frame. Could this be another location for SN#'s? It could just be a part# but seems to close to my SN1095 to be coincidence.

    Re: Sn# Location

    Mike,
I have never seen it on the window frame but the SN should be on the top co-pilots side door hinge(the one welded to the fuslage). This is was for the pre-war. They put it on the back side of the throttle plate on the post war models.

YES in the beginning the door hinge on fuselage, the swing out hinge AND the door hinge itself ( on the door) could all have the same ser###'s .
