Is there a 90 degree oil filter adapter that will go in the accy housing and replace the screen? I like the F&M one but it is listed for an IO360 cont. Has anyone tried one? Thanks Tim

Re: Oil filter adapter?
There's also one that mounts to the rear, left side of the case, where the stock oil cooler would mount.. but it's not 90 degrees to the crank. It's made by F&M... http://www.chiefaircraft.com/airsec/...rsionKits.html
I wondered about that one too... I'm not sure I want to put one on the firewall either.

Re: Oil filter adapter?
HI astjp2, I have seen the Cessna oil filter adapters on e-bay a number of times, the prices haven't been real high vs the cost of new units. Have you e-mailed F&M Enterprises about a model for the -8 engines? I'll be installing a F&M adapter the one that installs on the oil cooler pad, looks like an excellent unit.

Re: Oil filter adapter?
F&M says that it wont fit a -8, but the screen part number is the same between the A-65 through the O-300 and some IO-360's, so I might do an STC for the entire a series engines...if I can come up with enough data. TimN29787

The AD on the Cessna oil filter adapters is not that big a deal and would not keep me from using one. It is basically; "check to see if it is tight and then make sure it stays tight!" The threads are also very susceptible to damage as they are very fine (maybe not robust enough?)
