Would be nice if that web page changed the spelling of, "TailorCraft" to the correct -" TAYLORCRAFT" spelling that we know of today!
        Has time gone before me?

          Tailorcraft???

Tee Hee had never seen it done that way before. Good One Yelocart !
maybe Paul or Glen will check back and see the error in their ways. I did see one advertised many years ago in trade-a-plane with that spelling maybe it is the same one!

            Shinn "improvements"

            Morning all,
I just sent them an E-mail explaining that there are people on this board that would love to know the SPECIFICS of any
improvments the anyone has for the brakes on our planes.
By the way, my personal web domain, www.Taylorcraftbc65.com
is now up and running. It is NOT ment to compete with this
board. It's just a place where my friends can sit down and hanger talk. It is my first attempt at setting up a web domain, so it's
probably pretty crude, but make suggestions, and it will evolve
            as time goes on. Sabrina

              Shinn Brakes

Well didnt know this was a forum to go to and get made fun of, we have been t-crafters for a long time, we have built many, restored many and own a few, Just trying to help out here, and sorry about the spelling, will let our webmaster know about it.
And yes we have found a way of putting new liners on the brakes, we probably didnt invent this but around here nobody seems to have a good way of doing this, other than replacing them with another style. I just got exited about the fact we found a way of relining them.
              regards
              Paul

Sorry did not recognize you from the Owners Club or Foundation by your first names. Please explain the new procedure for our members to understand what you do...... do you reline the wheel or the shoes?? Just curious, did not mean to make fun loosen up a bit or we can have Stormin Norman come down upon you!

I would kick the webmasters butt!

My personal other gripe is "Tcrate" God I
                HATE that one.. bye Forrest

                  N43564

Ossipee Valley Looks like a real nice place to get TW time. I just checked out the web site and found the subject of discussion , good old N43564.
I see that she is known as a 194? Taylorcraft. Well I have to dig a bit deeper but she was built in March 1946 a genuine BC12D. My father, Al Barber, flew N43562 for her initial test on March 25th, 1946. More if I get it. check out their web site it is being developed right now.

                        My Brakes

                        GREAT NEWS!!!
One of the guys at the airport here told me to come over to his hanger, so I did. In the corner of his hanger were two sets each of the following: Wheels with mounted General aircraft tires,
                        Brake shoe sets with horseshoes,saddles'
                        springs, AND adjusters.
The entire system is off an early BC12. They look exactly
the same as what is on my BC65, and unless someone on this board tells me not to, I'm going to put the parts that I need on
my plane, fire it up, and FLY IT this week.
Got to go to work now, talk to you guys later. By the way, I read your post on my site Braceville, join up, sit down a while, and make yourself comfortable. Sabrina

                            My Brakes.

It's been a long time coming, but the owner of the airport told me
this morning that he ran this place before I got here, and he could do it for a day now, so he pulled his plane out of the FBO
hanger, unlocked his rollaround, had me pull my plane in, and told me that he didn't want to see me in the office till the brakes were on. At which point, that 84 year old man fueled planes, answered the phone and radio, and wouldn't let anyone bother me in the hanger. That was at nine A.M., at two in the afternoon, the
brakes were installed on the right side, checked on the left side,
bearings on both wheels were repacked, and the cable tensions balanced. The local IA happened to fly in for lunch, looked the brakes over, and gave his blessings. Tomorow morning, we
pre-oil the engine, fire her up, AND GO FLY!!!!!!!

Now some people just know how to run an airport!

Go fly, enjoy, and take him for a trip some day.
