  • Latest Wag Aero Catalog

Just got the latest WAG AERO catalog No Taylorcraft parts section
Forrest I am not blaming you of all people but I am asking you why not ? I remember about a year or so more you mentioned you were talking to someone up there (after they bought John Rosco out at Safe Air Repair )and that you would let us know what was being done...I recall that it seemed likely .What happened ? No Word???
Is it they are waiting out the Tcraft mess in Texas? What??

    Hey Jim,

On a side note for what it's worth... I was talking with one of the airport "bums" a couple of weekends ago that works for Wag Aero, which isn't far away. He mentioned he's been tasked with building Taylorcraft wing tanks. Don't know if he's talking about B models or what, but next time I see him I'll get some more details.

Hi Tom, wag aero does have tanks made, They brought a pair over to my shop to fit them in the wings of my project. The tanks fit perfect and look excellent! They should be available soon. If you call wag aero, ask for Tom Oneill he can help you with tcraft parts. They have a lot of parts in stock.

I will call Tom and ask him why "lots of parts" are not in the catalog. Seems a strange way of doing business. I hope nothing happens to Tom Oneill. (He is a great guy ..spoken with him in the past) Any way I will call and see if we can get a list of parts.....been waiting a LOOOONG time.

The whole story will come out in the future...... At the moment Tom & Bill Reed are reverse engineering a lot of stuff, it is a strange situation, they have the PMA approval for "all parts" for Taylorcraft. Yes the Texas situation is involved. Univair has their catalogue printed, call Wag-Aero for requests they are catching up quickly. Yes we consulted on the tanks. Yes I sent them all the tail surfaces to build. Yes another group will be building spars, Univair has them NOW! Wag-Aero probably will not do spars. And the tale goes on!

I saw my WAG AERO friend at the airport today. He said he's built up a few each of both left and right side tanks, and they're in stock. Should be in the catalog soon according to him. He did say that they were six gallon, B model tanks.

I didn't ask. Maybe I'll see him again in a week or so and find out. They could probably give you the answer over the phone, or send an email too.
