      Kevin,

That was well written and truly from the heart. I hope your Dad makes the first hop and all goes well. I have tried for years to buy my Dad's Taylorcraft he parted with in 1962 with no luck.

We will be watching for your post on the first flight, good luck.

        Re: nick names

Well, as much as I would like to think that I picked out my plane back in 1999, I really think she picked me. She has been so patience as I learned to fly her and always there as I slowly learned to respect her and her judgment.
My girlfriend Sara asked me last fall what is the name of that beautiful bird I fly? I responded that she (nc95842) needed to tell me what her name is and then I will forever refer to her accordingly.
After 3 weeks I came to Sara and said that in meditation the name Anna kept coming to me. Sara replied that that was the same name that kept coming in her mind. I think I need to pant her name on her cowl soon.

Kevin: What a nice tribute to your dad and others involved in your aviation family, also to Crispy Critter. I have a feel for what you are thinking as you work on the plane. My dad bought our '40,BC-65 in 1943, and seven members of our family learned to fly in it. My brother and I are the only family members left that have flown it. It is down for a total restoration now and hope to be in the air about the same time as your plans for "CC."

"CC" has the same initials as my name.

                Crispy,

That is a very touching story! I can feel it in my gutt how special that moment will be for you all.

Recently, the original owner's son of my T-craft got a hold of me saying that his father was on his last days and would like to know where is T-craft eventually ended up. I made sure I wrote up a nice history of what I knew and sent some nice pictures of her. Months later I received a letter saying that his father had passed on and next to his bed in a frame, was one of the pictures I had sent. I have made and intend on keeping my promise to take the original owner's son for a ride as soon as possible.

These airplanes have souls and touch everyone who is their caretaker and definatly create a bond throughout the generations.

                    FLYLO,
Well said, I can hear Manu Sina chide me any time I come in a little hot, and cause her to float. We make up though as I wash her, and put her to bed.

A name that comes to mind is "No ETA" and I think I'll use it. Anyone seen that one yet?

Cause it's what mine seems to do best I was thinking "Ellie," as in Ellievator. How do you spell "Ellie" correctly?
