v/c question

I am looking over some of the junk i have and there is a question for you guys. I have a set of the cast ,?, alum, magniseum, v/c. what is the material?I started buffing one, and it looks nice.thanks, jim.

If V/C means valve cover, mine are stamped steel. I have heard of these cast "V/C", but never seen them. They are pretty rare and a prized item.

guess I have been in the car world too long, valve covers, same a s rocker box covers. they are cast , just want to know what material. thanks for the reply. jim.

sand cast aluminum. I doubt they will polish very well due to the pourosity of the casting. However they paint up real nice. I have a couple sets horded away.
