You didn't forget anything, just my experience has been that the Super Cub is more like 5 to 6 times as expensive. The Taylorcraft is GREAT for the money, since you can usually get 2 or 3 for what you'd pay for your new car. But let's not forget the usual wallet biters; annual, overhaul, etc.

Well, OK, I don't have personal experience in a Tri-Pacer. So you guys who have owned them can tell me I'm wrong and that you can land one in the space of a T-craft... and I cannot argue from personal experience.

However, if I were making an un-planned off-airport emergency landing, I would DAMN well want to do it at 35-38 miles an hour instead of 60-65!

Hey Brady, I also own an f-21, N2005S , and it is going over to New Richmond, Wisc. next week to get the Baumann 1500's installed on it. It will be on the lake all summer and won't be very acessable to 100 LL. I am wondering if you have ever run auto fuel in the 0-235 or if there is an STC for it.

I have tried auto fuel in my F 21A and found two things out #1 my tanks and most all other F-21A's and beyond have patched fuel tanks. When using 100LL I have no problems but put car gas in it and I get little black flakes out of the left tank and of course the gascolator. #2 In the summer it does not want to shut down it diesels after you pull the mixture with car gas but never with 100LL
I would like to use car gas but find 100LL for the price better for me and as for a STC I think Perterson may sell one but not sure about that. Pull the engine and add a 0-320 e2d and burn all the car gas you want. Mike

The 180 will blast you up "over tall buildings in a single bound"... this combination of airplane and engine will get you in AND out of some very interesting places.
A 180 tcart sounds awesome! Where can I get one of those?!?!

The 100hp F19 is more capable, for less fuel burn.

Those seem pretty hard to come by these days though.
