  • 53500 on her way home

The owner left with her this morning headed for Kansas. Took much longer than expected due to FAA and other circumstances. I hated to see it go as I owned it for many years before trading it off before it was finished to accomodate a growing family. I did get to fly it about 4 hours before it left. Oh well.... on to the next T-crafts on the waiting list, a L-2M, a YO-57(1 of 4), and a '41 Standard.

        Mike,

That plane turned out very nice. I really like that color scheme. I just sold my BC-12D and delivered it on Monday. My first airplane, it was bittersweet. Now I can concentrate on the detail work on my L-2B.
        Cheers,
        Marty

And after 5.5 or so hours and 3 intermediate stops, it is finally safe at home in her new hangar in Hiawatha Kansas.

          Thanks for the effort, Mike

You have a nice airplane, Greg. Not too bad of a trip either. It took my ferry pilot 4 1/2 days and 27 1/2 hours to reach Springfield, IL from San Jose, CA. Not a pleasant flight. Good luck with that beautiful Taylorcraft!

Mike: It must have been hard to watch it fly away. But it sounds like it went to a good home. I love that paint scheme! When mine gets redone thats the way I'm going to go. It looks great and its simple at the same time.

Hated to see it finally leave but there are more where that one came from.
