From the Factory
To all forum members and Taylorcraft owners, the recent discussions regarding the factory and a sheriff’s sale. I now have proof that ex-employee Joe Marroquin, United Airlines Captain Thomas Garrick and Taylorcraft Foundation President Forrest Barber conspired to close down Taylorcraft Aviation for their own personal gain. The proof is overwhelming from reserving the name Taylorcraft Aviation with the state of Texas 120 days ago, letters to our customers, the FAA calls to the Airport Director, City of Brownsville, EDC of Brownsville etc, etc.
Motive, why would they go to this extreme? Greed, if the factory wasn’t in business they could create an environment very similar to the Piper Cub lift strut Airworthiness Directive. Let’s do some math 3000 Taylorcraft’s $2,500.00 for a new set of lift struts equal’s Seven Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars
(7,500,000.00).
There is no doubt that this will be a long and expensive lawsuit, please note all past and future comments on the forum are admissible in court.
So what’s next, I have contacted the FAA and asked if they would investigate Mr. Barber and return to me all Taylorcraft Drawings pertaining to the 1A9 and A-696 Type Certificates also I have filed a suspect and unapproved parts on all parts in his possession. Data Plates if you have purchased a new data plate in the last five years from someone other than Taylorcraft Aviation, I have also filed a suspect and unapproved parts report on all Taylorcraft Data Plates. We are also reviewing all 337 reports for the last five years for suspect and unapproved parts.
The Federal Aviation Administration wants to know is their a problem with the Taylorcraft Lift Struts, if you have replaced your lift struts in the last five years please contact the factory with information as to why you had to replace the struts and where you purchased replacement struts.
Protect yourself and your aircraft if you purchase a new part or a new old part
(nos) from anyone other than the Factory insist on an 8130-3 tag.
Sincerely,
Harry Ingram
President
