Well guys, I guess I need to ask for forgiveness. I LOVE pastrami, but for the life of me can't stomach Rye.

Is it ok on wheat?? Help me out!!!! (Lord I can't stand Rye......)

Do you think the disgruntled employee may have been the gentleman on this site awhile back who was very displeased with Harry? May be the same. I am going to call the Sheriff's Office this morning to find out. I will let you know.

I just got off the phone with the civil process department and here is the information regarding Taylorcraft. A sale will take place on the 28th at 10:00 a.m. at 2404 Wilson Road in Harlingen, TX. The items are: 6 jigs, 1 metal brake, planer, angle jigs, 13 jigs of various sizes, metal table, airframe jig, miller welder, propane fork lift and a metal table with grinder. That's it. That doesn't sound like everything Taylorcraft has, does it???

Hey All,

I normally just lurk here. I'm a Taylor Cub owner/flyer (1936 Taylor J-2 Cub with an A-40) so I feel a definite kinship to the Taylorcraft crowd.

So, in light of the default judgment, Igram and Taylorcraft apparently did not answer the suit. I don't have any more information on the subject of the suit nor the amount of the judgment.

Eating THOSE gut bombs will surely put a Taylorcraft over gross...

I am not even from New York, but my wife is from Brooklyn. I've been to NY and to White Castle, unfortunately. The pizza and the Chinese food are the best on the planet, but here in Los Angeles we have much better burgers. The new Yorkers get Sabrett hot dogs, however, and they are the best.

Better than Nathan's hot dogs? Wow, they are now finally available in the Pittsburgh food stores, (Nathan's has many FF outlets in Jersey and NYC) and they are fantastic. Almost Kolbassa but looks like a dog.

I better not say which "part" of the dog

What is meant by Harry not responding to the default judgement? I'm lost. And isn't this a pretty quick sheriff's sale if the gent just posted a couple of week's ago that he got the judgement?

And what about the drawings, etc? Is it possible that the rights are not up for sale?

Is Harry being tricky-dicky again?

A lot of times in a Sheriff's sale, certain assetts up to a certain value located in that county will be sold off. Also, I believe they have until the sale to settle the default judgement. This may not mean the demise of Taylorcraft, so we must wait and see.

It sounds like that list could be a large number of items. It's depends on what kind of jigs? Were they old and not usable from a former factory? OR, are they new and absolutely needed to produce new planes and parts? You can see the variations in the plots. As others have said before, we must wait to see the outcome.

Good Rye has lots of caraway seeds and is nice and chewy. We don't have a lot of good ethnic food in the Northwest, but you can still find the real stuff if you know where to go....in my case to mom's house!

Of course, Hebrew National Franks and Nathan's are available everywhere these days....but if you're in this neck of the way, I recommend Good Dog Bad Dog. They're not cheap, but Tim, the owner, knows his dogs.

The problem is the jigs they mentioned like the fuselage jig is the original jig that all of our airplanes were built on. You can look in the Taylorcraft story and see pictures of the jigs in some of the forties pictures. I could see the original holes on the jig for a model A forward fuselage when I was working for Harry. I think it would be a big loss if those things were separated.

Any lose of tooling to any manufacturing organization can be a big problem. When Taylorcraft was in Lock Haven, they talked alot about supporting the current fleet with new parts. Tools only take up space until they are needed to build a part needed by a customer. I would doubt that anyone would want tools that are never used, I am sure critical tools will now be seperated from the "factory". All of this is very bad news.

In an ideal world, Harry has made quiet arrangements for a local metal stamping shop to buy the tooling at the auction. He can then subcontract the stamping to this shop. In this way, he is still in buisiness and there is a source for the parts.
