  • window question

while my plane is down for this marathon annual i decided to replace the sliding door windows. can anyone tell me the proper thickness for the plexiglass? The ones I have in there now are too thin. the right window always slides open after takeoff. Thanks!

    Re: window question

    Tom,

The Wag-Aero catalog has the Taylorcraft front sliding windows (cat. no. M-220-653, $12.95 each) and rear windows (cat no. M-220-655, $12.50 each).

      Re: window question

      proper thickness
With no drawings to hand (but lots of previous material) I use 3mm (about 1/8th) stuff...never fails, and costs me a lot less than what Joel is suggesting...but then I get it from my local plexiglass aviation store...
BTW, it always creeps back on mine too, but I have "window handles" that correct that situation.

thanks guys for the advice. I think I'm going to bite the bullet here and go with the pre made Wag Aero windows. Joel thanks for supplying the catalog numbers.
