Are you talking about the dzus fasteners? Aircraft spruce and several other suppliers sell them. If you need the tool to install them, I have one here in il. If you are going to oshkosh I can bring it along up there and meet you. George

Thanks George and Forrest. These are (not Dzus) the ones as would be used on a model A. Are those called Boeing? Bet Boeing doesn't make them! I need two for my Aeronca KCA.

          Bob,

Go over to the MSN L-2 Liaison Group sight, just search Google for it. There was a gentleman there making new Boeing fasteners, look under the messages forum. I hope you are not in too big of a hurry as I posted several questions regarding my L-2 several weeks ago and haven't received an answer. But, give it a try, good luck!
          Cheers,
          Marty

I think Dick Huish made some and he is on this board. If he didn't he knows who did.

                Dick,

I received every one of your responses from my private e-mails to you. I'm talking about the MSN L-2 website itself. I put several questions on the MSN site and have received no responses, it is like it went dead suddenly. That comment was not aimed toward you, but now I can see how you thought it was. I forgot it was you with the Boeing fasteners!!!!! I had other questions about first aid kits and canopy covers..... Dick, are you going to Oshkosh?

                    Mike,

Go to the MSN L-2 Liaison website and go to the pictures. There are a couple of very nice pictures of a Boeing fastener. Basically you slip a small 'wing' through a slot in the cowl, pull and twist. The fastener is attached to a bracket on the firewall and stays with the plane. Just a different style of fastener they used on L-2's that didn't need a tool or screwdriver to remove.
                    Cheers,
                    Marty

Dick, you never called me. Give me you rnumber and I will call you. Is that $10 for a fastener unit? ie, spring, cup, and fastner? How about the receptacle?
