Of course, Rob! I think Jon is picking you up at Logan, bringing you to Northampton Wednesday night, where you'll stay with us, and you and I will launch Thursday morning to meet up with Jon.
Jon: Where do we meet Thursday? Glens Falls? Is Turners Falls, MA too far south for your route? Pittsfield, MA?
Jon and I both know Pittsfield, Glenns Falls and Turners Falls, and all three are on the way to or back from Alliance, so I will leave it to you two to sort out the minor details.
P.s. David, is there still room for my toothbrush, or do I have to leave the spare pair of smalls at home?
I plan on coming down on Saturday the 10th in the DL-65. Have to work on Friday and Sunday. See you all then.

I will need a ride (either car or mode C equipped airplane) from Alliance Field to Canton-Akron airport on Saturday afternoon, July 10 to get a flight home. Are taxis available in a pinch?
Thanks, Rob. We tested the "Taylor Tent" today, the tent my friend designed and created to tie up under the wing strut. No tent rods needed, and incredibly compact when stuffed in a sack (about five inches cubed). It looks good, but the true test will be a heavy rain, I guess.
The New England Taylorcraft Network Alliance 2004 Flight is underway. It started with Rob Lees departing Manchester, England via American Airlines early this morning enroute to Boston.
With the weather for tomorrow looking bad, the decision to "preposition" two of our ships to Northampton, MA was made this morning at 0630 with a call from Mike Sargent from Farmington, ME. Mike and his dad, Harley, met me and my daughter, Kristie, at Rochester, NH and we flew down here to Northampton this afternoon, a beautiful hour and a half flight.
We arrived at 3PM and by 3:15 David Bloomberg was on his way in his Cherokee to pickup Rob at Hampton, NH where my wife had brought him after his arrival in Boston.
Rob and David arrived back by 5 PM and we all enjoyed a light dinner at the local micro brewery.
So, tonight we are residing at the lovely home of David's gracious parents. In the morning we will check the progress of the frontal system now making its way across central New York state. If we think we can get by it, we will head west in the morning, but more likely we will be stuck here until it passes overnight Thursday. Once behind the front we should have clear sailing to Barber's Field.
Yves Saint Loup will be joining us from CT just before we head out, for a four ship to Alliance.
If we had not "prepositioned" to here, 100 west of my NH home, and 200 miles from Mike and Harley's, we probably would have been weathered out until at least late Friday.........too late to make it to Alliance 2004.
So, wish us luck! We are on the way! The planes are running well and we are coming!
See you all there!
