  • Stromberg Rebuild

I just talked to a repair station in Rockford, IL about rebuilding a Stromberg for a friend's 65 HP Continental.

He wants $600. A little pricey, eh?

    Anybody know anybody more reasonable?

Heck, I can rebuild one myself and have done it before, but don't have the time.

BTW, when you're checking float level, just use the depth gauge on a set of vernier calipers. It works just as well as that little tool ol' friend Neal Wright recommends you spending all afternoon making.

Click here, then about 1/4 down the page to the Stromberg link. About $300 in 2005.

      Re: Stromberg Rebuild

Stromberg rebuild kits are dirt cheap. The overhaul manual was also in the back of the older A series overhaul manuals as well. Marvel on the other hand, rebuild kit is so expensive, it is cheaper to send back to Precision and let them do and get a warranty.
