Does anyone know if there is an STC or 337 for sticking a Continental C85 on a PA 15 Vagabond? If you have any info or leads on this please get ahold of me at [email protected]

I know an A&P-IA here in the DSM area that had a Vagabond (don't know if it was a PA-15 or PA-17), but it had a Continental 0-200 engine. He recently sold the Vagabond and now has a Tri-Pacer. Soo I know that you can hang a 100 horse engine on that airplane--85HP should not be a problem.

If you have a N# for an airplane that it has been done on you can get the records from the FAA including the 337's. If you have a good working relationship with your local FAA they can pull it up on the computer in their office. The only problem with that is if the proper paper work has not been done on that airplane it could open a can of worms for the owner. Tom

E-mail your address and I will send a copy of mine, C85-12, and one I got from Short Wing Piper Club. They have these two now also. PA15 N4593H
