Does anybody have an oil quick drain on there 65hp Taylorcraft? Which is the correct size to use? Is it the same thread as an O-200?

Re: Oil Quick Drain
My '46 BC12D with C65 came with a quick drain. It is slick. Especially when you go to fill the oil after a change and it is left open (!) you can catch what is going on the floor after you scurry around and find an old coffee can then quickly reach inside to click it closed. I hope I never do that again!
On the downside, it always drips. Makes a mess of the belly after visiting fly-ins all day. I park her with a jar under the drain tube.
I guess that still doesn't outweigh the convenience. I'll probably transfer it to the new engine that I plan to put in her.

Re: Oil Quick Drain
They are all the same, 5/8x18 IIRC. And, they shouldn't leak. Probably just a bad O-ring.
