  • 1943 l2m for sale

Im new here and not sure if we can post for sale stuff here but.....

1943 L2m 65 hp continental.approx 1800 total time and 550 on engine. Plane has been under covered hanger since bought from last owner in early 90's.hasnt seen a drop of rain since then. That being said, she's no beauty contest winner. She could use a new coat of paint and the ceconite cover was put on in 1980. There is a small tear on the underside of the elevator approx. 3inches long. It seems as if the last owner had sand blasted the rear section of the greenhouse cockpit for whatever reason. Latest compression test showed 74/80 for three cylinders while #2 was 70/80.Has elt installed may need new battery for that. Wheel bungees replaced in 1980. Has VSI and art horizon. Airplane is out of annual. No electrics radios etc. Wont take much to get it flying(annual. , repair of elevator fab. etc.) granpa still take it up around the patch....but overall is a project aircraft i would say. Will probably cost 10 -15 thousand to recover and restore. Aircraft in tip top shape are selling from 28-35K.Make me an offer if your interested. We were thinking in the area of 12-14k. It is located in Mena (west central Ar) Arkansas. Contact me at [email protected] 512 699 9510
Have pics if u are interested.

Of course you can, Dan, if it's Taylorcraft related. Why are you selling?

You can post pics here using the "manage attachments" function if you wish.

      Re: 1943 l2m for sale

Really I have no time to fly it. I am at the bottom of the totem pole at my airline (2yrs senority). It sits in Arkansas in a hangar my granpa wants to turn into another workshop. I am in Austin Tx. He wants it out of his hair. He seems to have lost his interest in flying it. So we want to move it.

        Also......

Do you guys have any suggestions on where I can put additional ads for this. This is the only place I have put an ad so far. I know about trade a plane. Has anyone ever sold an aircraft on E bay? Any other non traditional outlets or message boards you know of?
        Thanks
        Daniel

Barnstormers works well for me. An ad with 1000 letters & pictures cost $5. 100 letters or less w/no pics is free. I like to give a donation after something sells.

Danial,I might be hanging myself on this one because I am the guy in Ky who has been talking to you about it but try putting it on www.barnstormers.com
They are about as good as trade-a-plane and much cheaper.
