So, after three weeks of waiting for "the packette", numerous phone calls to the company, one promised cub missing an engine, one spare cessna 150-150 with a bad elevator hinge, one late CFI, Joe Sheble, 540 miles and one car rental to get to the aircraft, my float rating did not happen. Upon inspection of the spare aircraft, only 1/2 hour after the pre planned time and day, Joe found that his aircraft was not airworthy.....Simple fix, like be preparred and on time, would have found that simple fix hours before, or weeks, and had the spare aricraft ready to go.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND FLYING WITH SHEBLE AVIATION FOR ANY OF YOUR NEEDS. I happened to be in the area working, so it was the most efficient, or so I thought at the time. My good attitude and wonderful, understanding wife, helped me to make the situation better, as did some drinks in vegas, but the point must be read above.
Needless to say, the CFI (an faa DE by the way) was NOT preparred. My wet behind the ear student CFI's onkly there to build time to the ATP Rating have been much more preparred than this outfit was.................and he is part owner of Sheble Aviation.
That's my experience, adn I am forwarding this script to the company, so they can share your thoughts as feedback with them, adn I as well good or bad, or what have you.
I did think he was a "swell guy and all", but business is business...... I give sheble aviation a 1 out of 10 for product delivery, and a 10 for marketing genius.
