Empty Weight Of BC12D

Just for fun I wanted to do a poll on Empty Weights of everybodys BC12D. We can repeat for the pre-wars, but in order to get apples to apples just BC12D's on this one. C85's should be the same or nearly so.....unless If you have electrics. I just thought this would be fun. I'm at 820lbs. with C85-8 and 2 wing tanks.

Mine is 778 with wing tanks , metal prop and no wheel pants .

I've got one from June 20,1946 (8 days after mine was manufactured) that's signed by W.H. Ross, showing mine at 752#, and EWCG at 19.2". I've got one from later (date too faded to read) from when they installed the C85-12 and McCauley metal prop, that's showing it at 781.5 (says it gained 18# with the conversion) Then I did one in '86 and came up with 868# with 24 gallons of fuel and full oil, and CG @ 14.62.

N43433 with two wing tanks has empty weight of 759 lbs per weight and balance a few years old.

Should have one poll each for BC12-D with 65 HP, one for BC12-D for non electric 85 HP and one for full electric 85HP

Several years ago,C85,ext baggage,skylight,wing tanks,no electrics...801 pounds.

My 46 BC12D-1 "Ace" with 1 wing tank, wood prop empty weight at 730 lbs.

Just did weight and balance on c-fggz.No fuel on board with o-200 starter large oil tank and remote oil filter with full oil .Battery wood prop sky light two wing tank empty.Weight 865lbs.Left wheel 395 right 403 tail 67.
