  • Gas hose for my DC-65, (L-2)

I'm doing the annual on my DC-65 and want to install a new gas hose from the gascolator to the carburetor. The present one looks like it was installed sometime in January of 1942. The old L-2 manual calls it OA-19h, which doesnt mean much.
I'm not familiar with all the new hose numbers, can someone please tell me what to order from Wicks or Aircraft Spruce?

If it has hose clamps at each end, MIL-H-6000 will work fine. If it has AN fittings on each end, Aeroquip 303 or Stratoflex equivilent. I probably have what you need here Chet if you want to come by.

An old bit of info that I think came from Forrest several years ago thats nailed up under Technical Resources at the web site:

Early Taylorcraft airplanes used Automotive type gas and oil fittings
There is nothing wrong with this original equipment replacement, its what the planes were certified with.
Some folks have done a transition to "aircraft" fittings and that is always causing problems matching replacement parts.
Once source for aviation and automotive hoses is:
Specialty Hose Aerospace, 7802 Freedom Ave NW, N. Canton, Ohio 44720 ph# 1-800-362-6533

      For what its worth.
