    Re: Prop design spreadsheet

Interesting, but based on only 1 or 2 airfoils that I saw and only up to 59" dia. Judging by the data, it is directed towards ultralight propellers. I have lot of publications from over the years on building propellers. Propeller manufacturing is also my second business, Falcon propellers. I hold the remains of the Ole Fahlin company trying to keep the tradition alive. We are the only other certified manufacturer for wood propellers I know of at this time.

I did notice when you changed the values on the first part (hp), (Speed), etc. It suggested prop length and pitch etc. for climb, standard, and cruise peops It was not a revellation by any means...I just thought it was interesting how HP, and speed affected prop recommendations on this sheet at least. I wouldn't use it as a guide for actual prop choice...that's what the TC is for. I just thought it interesting.

        Re: Prop design spreadsheet

There is so many things to consider when building a propeller that what ever works for one airplane, may not work for another. It is still considered my many a "black art".
