  • Prewar Bubbleface installation

    Gentleman,

I have been carrying around an airpath bubbleface for a number of years and have been planning to use it in the 40 BL.
Does anyone have photos of how the original installation worked or looked?

    Thanks in advance,

I've seen 2 different installations for the bubble face compasses. The first style is the bump tunnel on top of the instrument panel. This was on a 38. The other style is the bullet mount that hangs from the tubing cluster at the top of the wind shield. Is your compass just round, or does it have the 4 mounting holes like any other instrument? Tom

Then it needs to be mounted in the hump tunnel on top of the panel. I think Cubs used the panel mount compasses as well. Tom
