Any ideas on STC's for an F-19?
I'm looking for a list of all available and the FAA's site isn't very helpful.

It's time for a recover. Considering Vortex Generator's (looking for opinions), skylight, extended range fuel tanks (a should have in Alaska), and hydraulic brakes (a must have).

Most important are the brakes. Has anyone gotten an F-19 through the new and improved FAA field approval goat rope?

    Happy New Year all. -ken

Your IA/A&P should maintain the most currrent list as part of his maintenance records. You could merely go to the link off the Foundation web site. www.taylorcraft.org click on Tech resources. This one is not always the most current, it does come from the official FAA web site that I use quite a bit...
How about a big anchor to throw out the door..

VG's on a Tcraft...esp. an F19? Well, although I have heard good reports about them, I personally consider them unnecessary. I think all Tcraft land short enough without them. Rather spend the cash on a little more experienced tuition, n'est ce pas?

(edited to say I've been operating today in 15kt wind, across our 150-foot wide runway. Full stops and go. VG's? I think I'd frighten myself.)

I think where vgs would shine is on floats and on extreamly short off runway take offs. Anything that would give us just a little margin of safety up here would be great. i have flown a cub with vgs and loved them it realy helped slow speed handleing..I think that if they do take 5 mph off your stall speed it would save alot of wear and tear on our gear in the ruff stuff.I plan to put vgs on by spring and i plan to do exten.study before and after. stall speeds, handleing, cruse speeds,I will keep everyone posted.
