    Re: Spoke with Harry Tuesday

    All

I'm kinda new around here but, I would like to get in on the trip to Brownsville. I live in Marfa,Texas, but, I may be further from Brownsville than most of you guys.

I ordered fairleads, 2 inch trim pulley, and a instrument panel today for my 1946 BC12D. The instrument panel will be built in Jan so I'm on the list for one. The factory is looking like a good source.

        Re: Spoke with Harry Tuesday

Ok I promised to keep all up to speed on my delivery COD from the factory.

The parts dept guy will said the parts are "on the way" as of last thursday.

Some one else wrote (in this thread)that they saw them there boxed and waiting for pick up when they were down there looking at their restoration project over the weekend???.

They were to be shipped UPS GROUND. No joy as of yet. I will keep you all posted

Jim, ask them for the UPS tracker number, you can follow them on the UPS page.

I received my fair-leads from the factory today, but they did not have the grooves for the wire clip. The trim pulley was perfect. I also like the fact that they use the postal service. that saves me a lot of freight on small orders.

                    Re: Spoke with Harry Tuesday

Glad to hear someone has recieved what they ordered. A fellow site member mentioned that he saw my order sitting there when he went down to see the factory (two weeks ago and over the weekend) I thought that a bit odd as the parts manager had told me "they are on the way" earlier in the same week.(two and a half weeks ago)

I ordered em COD. Glad I did. Nothing ventured nothing gained. Some one else suggested I call and get a UPS tracking number. I am not wasting the phone call $$ . If I get em (from them..the Taylorcraft Factory) I will let you all know.

Doc I will be contacting you off line to discuss what they quoted me for the set etc. (I may also want/need your source) The saga continues..............

I am real happy to see this thread going. I do not know why the Taylorcraft Factory ( Harry) would stay off this site. He says he got beat up before. I still try to sort out the truth always and will do so in the future. WE cannot do anymore!
Harry IF you are tracking any of this get back with us here at the Foundation & the Owner's Club I do not know why you ignore about 700 members who want PARTS!
I have arranged for the forumn at Sun-n-Fun again in 2006. You are welcome to join with us . Bruce sent out the Winter newsletter with no word from the factory. WE are with you in all your efforts please keep us informed. WE have not communicated since OSH...... remember when I called you!

                        Re: Spoke with Harry Tuesday

If you are reading this Harry, we never met and have never spoken. I once e-mailed you that I was interested in becoming a sales rep, but I never heard back from you.

My point in posting this is that I am hoping you will work with the T-craft club for everyone's mutual benefit. You can't blame some of the members of this club for being very leery, gun-shy, and smart-assed. There have been more than one "P. T. Barnum" types involved with ownership of Taylorcraft in the past.

Whether you got your toes stepped on by some of the folks in this forum or not, you are still looking at a market of hundreds of airplane owners who want the parts and pieces that you make. An existing Taylorcraft owner will cheerfully steer a customer for a newly manufactured new "light sport aircraft" towards buying a new T-craft from you. This internet forum has become the de facto information gateway for most anything having to do with Taylorcraft ownership. You will benefit from us, and we will benefit from you, whether we're all beer-buddies at night or not.

Some or all of this group might have given you a bruised ego, or gone too far in questioning your integrity. You might have had a great big Jim Bede smile that made the hair on the back of a few necks stand up. That's in the past. The key to the future is you continuing to establish credibility and us showing more support for the difficulties you are overcoming.

I'll step up to the plate by offering my sincere congratulations and support for your getting the first taylorcraft LSA version up and flying. Good show!

                          Re: Spoke with Harry Tuesday

Now for some good news. Last night the UPS guy came to my house with two packages. One was a simple delivery. The other was an announcement that he had another package in the truck for which they needed a certified check made out to TAYLORCRAFT AVIATION in the amount agreed upon for the drag wires and shipping. I will be going to the bank today and get one. Hopefully the big brown UPS truck will be back again late this afternoon. I will let ya all know how the parts look fit etc !!

At this point BRAVO Harry. You can expect me to be calling your friendly parts man back!!!

A shame Harry isn't able to trust us. Most parts and supplies I order are either Credit card (understand why not here) or they bill me or I give a personal check. No problems.

Ordered a Sport Pilot Course for my son in law from Kings. Came in and paid with his personal check. No certified check necessary.

He's trying to get his head above water and business in the aviation world is not easy. He's had to move his operation and re-organize everything...I think with a little support he'll do fine. We had a disgruntled ex-Taylorcraft employee a while back on this forum doing his best to smear Harry's face in the mud. Also, people have felt safer paying COD for their parts....the last thing Harry needs right now are bounced checks, sounds like a good thing for both sides right now at least....everyone can't be trusted. I'm sure as time goes on things will become easier for them and life will be good. Look, the glass IS half full.

I have had two private e-mails and three atta boy phone calls this morning
( atta boy for Harry , not me) . I hope the factory , Harry Ingram, his family and all the employees have a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.
Now lets hear some positive feed back on the factory. As to the disgruntled employee , Harry hired him , I DIDN'T.....
