FOLO: Stits and dope

I called Jim Miller this morning and described the situation (stits thru silver, butyrate dope finish). He mentioned that was one of the most incompatible choices that could be made, hence the massive peeling of coating I'm seeing.
My A&P suggests lots of lacquer thinner to get back to silver and take it from there. - Mike

Mike, you could do with being a moderator here...that's the third thread on a similar subject...could you combine all them into one?
