  • Forum Suggestion

This is a great forum. Much improved over Topica and I find myself checking it a couple of times a day.

One small suggestion I throw out to the crowd:

Would it be possible to have the posts in a thread set up to read last post first? In other words completely reversed from what they are now.

For those who check the forum daily, I find it a bit irritating to have to scroll through all of the posts on a thread to see the latest.

I don't know what everyone else thinks, but I think this would be an improvement.

    Grant,
I spent 5 minutes last night poking around in the profiles/preferences area looking for a way to do what you suggest. I was unable to find a prompt to make the forum list newest messages first. Hopefully someoine will know how to do it.

At first I felt the same way as you. But then I discovered the "Go to first unread post" button at the top of the thread. It works very well at quickly scooting you down to where you last left off.

Three choices will get you the closest possible to the viewing you want.

On the home screen, click the arrow under 'last post' will take you to the last thread/last post since you last connected.

Or, on the home screen, click the FORUM you want to view, then click the yellow arrow under 'last post' on the THREAD you want to read.

        Best choice.....
Or, on the home screen, click the listing 'view new post' up in the top right hand area, Then click the yellow arrow under 'last post' for the thread to view.

              Sure Forrest rub it in....

It's 20 degrees here, wind out of the north at 25 knots gusting to 35 and snowing very very hard. I got 1-2 feet of snow inside the hanger (why did I pick one facing north??). No chance of taking the motorcycle out! But hey, I managed to do the polar bear plunge in lake Coeur d'Alene before the storm hit today!!

                That water looks positively warm!

Here is a picture of yours truly getting out of the water from our polar bear swim in North Bay on December 26th.

Great new forum, much easier to browse and navigate than Topica.
