  • Anyone have the 'remove one door' Field Approval?

Some days I find myself wishing I had fully plexiglass doors so I can look down even more and am considering getting the field approval for the removal of one door for ‘aerial photography.’ Anyone who has this

please chime in with how windy it is, drawbacks, is it worth it, etc...

I used to fly my F-19 with the door off (can't say it was approved though) -- flew fine - never tried any stalls or spins. Much like a J-3 but you can't shut the door when you get cold

The second door was a factory option for a while.

most/all were subsequently converted to two doors.

so, it was part of the type design which in theory should eliminate or at least simplify the need for a field approval.

Try this. It may assist in a basis.
