  • Searching 337 / Field Approvals

I am new to the airplane ownership role, so I obviously have questions: I have read about people searching tail numbers to get 337/Field Approval details, where does one do this? I saw a hard gun-case mounted on a plane and want to see the paperwork the person did as an example to follow (it wasn't a T-craft). I'm looking to do the same for this hunting season.

You'll need the registration number of the airplane that it's on, then go to the FAA website and order the CD of the permanent records for that aircraft. The last one I did was $10 and it took a couple weeks to get here.

If your talking about a kolpin boot, the external load checks make it where you will just want to buy a cub…instead of trying to certify on a taylorcraft.
