  • Looking for an experienced Taylorcraft Instructor

I have recently made a purchase agreement on a Taylorcraft located near Okeechobee, FL

I have 227 hrs in Taylorcraft and 1698 TT. Problem is I haven't flown in more than a year.

My tentative plan is to pick up the airplane around Feb 21. Is there anyone on here that is located anywhere close to that area of Florida? If so I would like a few hours dual in the aircraft before bringing it to Tennessee.

And maybe some help weaving my way through all the Florida MOA's etc

If no one is in Florida, is there anyone near Nashville that would be willing to give some duel before I go to pick it up?

    Thanks I appreciate any help

Craig, great you found a Taylorcraft.

f you are a bit rusty go with an instructor in anything 152, 172 etc.., get 5 hours just to knock the rust off. You don't have to get dual in a Tcraft, most vintage tailwheels fly the same Cub, Luscomb Funk, etc.... Or find a Decathlon and this way it will be easier to get into something similar as the skills will transition well to the Taylorcraft. What about flying with the seller themselves when you pick it up?

Let us know how it goes on your trip.
    Good luck
