  • Rear fuselage and tail inspection openings and control openings.

Thanks tribe for all the info on flaring the rear vertical to the fuselage. It came out good. I did a dumb thing and threw out the old fabric and need the whereabouts of all the openings/inspection holes in the rear fuselage. If anybody could take a pic , I would be very appreciative. Thanks

Tried to link and upload but can't get it to work at the moment.

basically you want access panels either side of the elevator belcrank above the stab

Then I put three standard inspection plates on the left side... elevator lower cable attach, tailwheel sprint bolt, and below forward stab attach point.

Duplicate on the right side except the tailwheel spring bolt location.

I also added one ring under fuselage about inline with forward stab location.

Of all of these I only opened the two elevator access panels and on of the rings to connect the lower elevator cable (and the tailwheel spring bolt was installed from there).

Add more if you want, no need to open them until they're needed

Thanks so much Scott. I have looked at some old pictures of mine and see some of the spots. Darn this old age hits when we forget to keep old thing for reference.
