As far as "judges" go...I had a friend that worked at Taylorcraft in 1946 and he always said they grabbed whatever was available to get an airplane out the door, so there really wasn't the "standard" that these so called experts sometimes insist there was. I'd mention something to him about something different on my Tcraft compared to a friends, and he'd just grin.
