  • Throttle cable routing? BC12D

My throttle cable goes from a hole in the fire wall 1.5" below the edge of the fuel tank under the exhaust crossover under an engine mount tube and over the oil reservoir causing a really tight bend where the coiled conduit enters the brass tube and it lays tight against the exhaust shroud.

It seems like it would be much better to drill a new hole in the firewall tight against the bottom of the fuel tank and go over the exhaust cross over and over the engine mount tube and make the bend much more gradual.

How is it done on other BC12Ds and can you share pics.

That was (apparently) the original way it was done. On my (experimental-equivalent) BC-12D here in the UK I did exactly what your thoughts are.
    I don't have any photos.

      Robert,

Thanks for the response I am proceeding the same.

      All,

I found pictures on Scott's incredibly helpful blogspot http://c-fclr.blogspot.com/ I've already re-routed and will make a cable support bkt similar to Scott's.
