  • VB access restriction proposal

So Ted and I are thinking we would restrict the forum access to countries where we have members. This I think would cut down of the poking and fake login requests. If someone
wants to register outside the ok countries, they would get a message telling them how to let us know to open the door for them. So anyone interested in Taylorcraft is of course still welcome here but if you are from a place where we get a lot of fake account requests then we may want to get to know you first.

so for now we will make a firewall change in a week to allow only these countries to access the VB forum:

    North America
    UK
    EU
    Brazil

    Any suggestions, problems, another country?

    Please reply

    thanks, bob.

Hi JH, we havent restricted too much yet. but I did tighten up on some addresss that were creating the bulk of the junk accounts. tonight for the first time in years I released about 16 good new accounts and did not have to delete a pile of junk.

Can you find out where they are, and if possible the IP address (cmd and ipconfig) of their computer?
