I was hoping someody more knowledgeable would reply to this post. But since nobody else has replied, here goes:

I'm having some trouble visualizing what the pictures are showing. Are we just looking at the lever that goes on the valve, or am I somehow not seeing the valve body itself ? And is the black surface behind the handle the sump tank itself ?

It's been about ten years since I last held the valve in my hand, but my memory says it was a fairly typical tee shaped bronze casting with female pipe threads at the two inlets and one male pipe thread at the outlet. The single outlet screwed up into the bottom of the sump tank. I thought the operating arm was another cast bronze (or maybe steel) lever that had an end designed to accept the pushrod that extended out of the left sidewall of the fuselage.

Are some L-2's different in that respect ?

this is just the handle for the valve that I provide, male threads up, female down, handle goes 44 up and right for on, 45 up and left for off, our software on here won’t allow me to upload a video. Tim

Here is handle that I make on the valve that I provide for the bc series, 50,000 cycle valve that I started testing in 2007 without a single malfunction from any of the ones installed under an owner produced part. Tim
